چکیده

Sleep Apnoea (SA) is a common chronic illness that affects nearly 1 billion people around the world, and number of patients rising. SA causes wide range psychological physiological ailments have detrimental effects on patient’s wellbeing. The high prevalence negative health make public problem. Whilst current gold standard diagnostic procedure, polysomnography (PSG), reliable, it resource-expensive can impact sleep quality, as well environment. With this study, we focus environmental arises from resource utilisation during detection, propose remote monitoring (RM) potential solution improve efficiency reduce travel. By reusing infrastructure technology, such mobile communication, cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), RM establishes detection diagnosis support services in home However, there are considerable barriers to widespread adoption technology. To gain better understanding available technology its associated strength, weaknesses, reviewed scientific papers used various strategies for RM-based detection. Our review focused 113 studies were conducted between 2018 2022 listed Google Scholar. We found just over 50% proposed systems incorporated real time signal processing 20% did not report important aspect. From an perspective, significant shortcoming, because 30% based measurement devices must travel whenever internal buffer full. might constitute additional need changing offline online

Automated screening for sleep apnoea in the home environment

We present a simple method for detection of sleep apnoea in the home environment. The method identifies episodes of disordered breathing and provides an estimated apnoea hyponoea index (AHI) by recording and automatic analysis of nighttime ECG and oximetry recordings. At the heart of the device is a pattern recognition system that identifies episodes of apnoea by analysing the heart variability...

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

Sleep Apnoea Detection

Sleep apnoea is often cause of/or associated with hypertension and of risk factors like “seconds sleep” during the day. Sleep disorders are typically investigated by means of polysomnographic recordings. We have analyzed 70 eight-hour single-channel ECG recordings to find out to which extent sleep apnoeas may be detected from the ECG alone. From the 70 data sets 35 were annotated by experts for...

Use of home sleep studies for diagnosis of the sleep apnoea/hypopnoea syndrome.

BACKGROUND A study was undertaken to test the hypothesis that unsupervised domiciliary limited sleep studies do not impair the accuracy of diagnosis when used to investigate the sleep apnoea/hypopnoea syndrome (SAHS) and can be cheaper than laboratory polysomnography. METHODS For validation, 23 subjects with suspected SAHS underwent laboratory polysomnography and a home study (EdenTec 3711) o...

An Intelligent Algorithm for Home Sleep Apnoea Test Device

This chapter describes the application of an intelligent machine learning technique (Support Vector Machines, SVM) to diagnose the patients with sleep apnoea syndrome using Electrocardiogram (ECG) signal. Sleep apnoea syndrome is a medical condition caused by sleep apnoea which is defined as the cessation of breathing for short periods during sleep. First, the importance of early diagnosis and ...
